Saint Mary’s Ushers

The ushers at St Mary’s by the Sea are the first smiling faces that greet you as you enter the Church. 

We welcome you, whether you are a parishioner or guest, with a smile and a “Good Morning!”

We are the information hub for each service. We begin with listing the hymns on the board, and then hand out service pamphlets before the service. We provide the priest with the number of those who are attending, as well as any special needs for the service. 

As the service progresses, we bring the gifts to the altar, and guide those receiving communion to the altar. We finish by cleaning up the church pews and making sure the building and Church are secure.

We are always looking for smiling faces to join our team either at 8 am or 10 am service!
