The Valentine House, a large residential care facility for adults challenged by mental illness, is located two blocks north of St. Mary’s. The facility is truly a home for those who live there. As neighbors, St. Mary’s welcomes residents of Valentine House to worship, attend Bible study, and partake of special suppers and celebrations. St. Mary’s hosts a festive summertime cookout to celebrate birthdays that fall over the summer months. At Christmas time, parish families purchase gifts for the residents from their own “wish lists.”
