What We Will Do:

The church will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each use.

Our brand new HVAC system will be set to maximize airflow.

Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer will be available at all times.

Altar Guild members will wear masks and gloves while preparing the church for services.

Clergy, Music Director, and Lectors will remain 20 feet away from the congregation
(Soloists or Cantors 30 feet away).

A minimum of 6 feet social distancing space will be provided by:

  • restricting overall capacity to 25 persons
  • closing every other pew
  • maintaining an orderly, well-spaced procession during reception of Holy Communion
  • no gatherings will be allowed prior to or following services

Single use bulletins will be provided at every service.

Each service will be broadcast via FaceBook Live and will be posted on St. Mary’s FB page.

All adult and child Church School, Bible Studies, Book Studies, Meetings, and Faith Formation opportunities will continue to be held online.
Contact tracing lists will be maintained by the church office.

What We Ask You To Do:

Never, ever, EVER come to church if you feel ill. NEVER!!!

Please stay home and worship with us remotely if you are elderly or at increased risk of illness.

You MUST pre-register each week by calling, texting, or emailing Cherisse by midday Friday. You can reply to the Weekly Parish Notes or call or text 609-713-8813.

Before you even exit your car please use hand sanitizer and put on your mask. FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN CHURCH.

There will be no congregational singing for the time being.

Please use hand sanitizer before and after receiving Communion.

Maintain a minimum 6-foot social distance from non-household members at all times, including when coming to the altar for Communion and while entering and exiting the church.

Do not physically touch anyone outside of those you live with. A simple wave or bow at “The Peace” will be appreciated.

A collection plate will be located near the entrance/exit and cared for by the Usher.

Notify us immediately if you or a close contact have tested positive for COVID-19.

We will begin by offering a single Rite II Service of Holy Eucharist Sundays at 9 am. When enough people want to return to church at any given time, we will begin our former 8 am Rite I and 10 am Rite II services. We can even add a third service at 12 noon, should the numbers ever warrant that. The Diocese has approved a maximum number of 50 persons but, out of an abundance of caution, the vestry and I believe it is safest to begin with a maximum number of 25.

We want to encourage those who discern the need to remain safely at home to continue to worship with us online. We are happy to mail you the weekly bulletins and scripture readings. We are also happy to arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to you by our team of Lay Eucharistic Ministers on Sundays or whatever day works best for you. Please call the office to make these arrangements.

Whether or not we are able to be in the same physical space together, this time of physical separation has taught us that the bonds of our Christian love and care for one another are not constrained by geographic location. Our “Beloved Community” of faith, hope and love is always held together in the very heart of God. We know that now, like never before! And we are grateful for each and every one of you. You and your loved ones are constantly in our hearts and prayers. May God bless us all as we continue to love our way through these very challenging times and circumstances. God is with us … ALWAYS!

With love, prayers and blessings,
